The problem is, I'm endlessly picky about my erotica. It has to be very well-written - nothing turns me off like poor grammar and incomprehensible spelling or chat-speak. I'm talking stuff that's just about literary quality, not something dashed off in a few minutes. I rarely find the quality of erotica I want. Then Babeland stepped in and offered me Violet Blue's Best Women's Erotica 2010 anthology.
This is easily my favorite of all the erotica anthologies I've ever read. The writing is superb. The stories are, without exception, smoking hot. Hands-in-the-panties after a few pages hot. Sexy and fresh enough that I've actually gone back and re-read my favorites over and over, which I almost never do with erotica. Violet Blue picked some real winners for this year's edition.
There are a wide variety of stories, all of them steamy, from a woman getting an orgasmic shoeshine in the middle of a crowded station, to being paid to transcribe sexy interludes, to voyeurism and a sexy little story on crossdressing. Personally, my favorite is a MMF threesome in a dojo called "Fuck the Fantasy." While none of the can be described as hardcore, many dip their toes into various fetishes and kinks. As long as you're not looking for anything really hardcore, there's something in here for everyone.
