Review: Little Flirt

The Little Flirt’s greatest dream in life is to convince you, and your butt, that ass-play can be comfortable and pleasurable.

This is a small, gentle butt plug. Made of some of the softest, squishiest slick silicone that Tantus makes, it won’t leave a timid sphincter feeling bruised and abused the way harder silicones and jellies can. The tip is designed for an easy, comfortable insertion. The first centimeter of the Little Flirt is an untapered, domed cylinder about the size and shape of a small finger. There is just enough curve to glide inside, without being so narrowed that it pokes and prods once inserted. Over the course of the next inch, it tapers out to its widest diameter (7/8 ”) where the design reverses, terminating in a nicely flanged base.

The base is a rounded rectangle (1.5”x2.25”) with rounded corners. The two long sides bow inward to curve with the cheeks, instead of jabbing into them the way the standard round or rectangular bases do. Regardless, it’s plenty big not to get lost in the ass of anyone who needs such a small toy for comfort.

(It should be noted that this is a significant redesign from the original Little Flirt, which featured a shorter neck and round base.)

Personally, I have a very shy ass. Once upon a time, full anal intercourse was possible and pleasurable, but I’m back to square one, with a very nervous set of sphincters. When Babeland offered to send me Tantus’s Little Flirt, I saw it as a chance to look at a beginner toy from the perspective of a physical beginner with the experience of an intermediate player.

As far as materials go, I’m very pleased. Made of Tantus’s platinum cured silicone, it’s completely sterilizable by boiling or bleaching. It can be washed with soap and water, toy cleaners or wipes, or by tossing in the dish washer (top rack, no detergent; if yours has a “sterilize” option, go for it!). While dense, it has a lot of give, and can be greatly bent, stretched, and twisted without damage. Seriously, you can bend it around to touch tip to base. I expected insertion to be difficult because of the bendy silicone of the toy, especially at the narrow neck, but surprisingly this didn't turn out to be a problem.

In use, the Little Flirt is very comfortable. With a liberal application of water based lube, it was able to glide gently in without strain or effort. The long neck gives it plenty of room to sit comfortably, while the curved, soft base fits nicely between the cheeks. It was very comfortable for playtime in any position I could manage, but it wasn’t as good for long-term wear. The base is wide enough that it doesn’t disappear between the cheeks once in place; while not visible through an average pair of jeans, it can get a little uncomfortable while sitting down.

To be honest, I was surprised that the Little Flirt stayed put through most of the play I put it through. I expected to send it flying at any moment. I have a bad reputation for, ah, projectile butt plugs during orgasm. As long as I hadn’t used anything larger that day before playing with the Little Flirt, it stayed where I put it. However, any but the most beginner users will probably find it too small to retain easily, much less find it pleasurable.

All in all, this is a fantastic beginner’s anal toy. At $25, it’s definitely more expensive than a similar jelly plug. Heck, you could probably get 3 or 4 jelly plugs for the price of this baby. They would not be as comfortable, as easy to clean, as safe, or as long-lasting; they couldn’t be shared, they’d smell of funky chemicals, and they’d cling to that ass smell like nobody’s business, but it would be 3 or 4 plugs instead of one. They would be cheap, in every sense of the word. The Little Flirt is a premium beginner’s toy that will help ensure a safe, comfortable introduction to anal play. As far as I’m concerned, that’s the way to go. Thanks to Babeland for sending me this lovely little plug!
